Warren School offers a quality program that focuses on academic achievement for all students in an environment where everyone takes pride in what they do.

Vision

Our vision is to create an exemplary program where every child achieves success in a child-centered environment, where learning is personalized and students become self-directed and motivated learners. Ultimately, all of our students will learn in a high quality multi-age environment.

To achieve this vision, we will:

  • Support children as unique individuals and social learners

  • Expect and value differences among children

  • Inspire children to love learning

  • Encourage children to take risks, learn from failure and challenge themselves

  • Encourage children to be innovators and leaders

  • Empower all children to become voracious readers, effective writers, and clear communicators

  • Provide authentic learning opportunities for children to explore and use mathematics

  • Provide children with choices to follow their interests and passions through inquiry learning across content areas

  • Provide opportunities for children to think creatively, invent, and explore the world around them

  • Create mixed-age classes where learning is optimized through social interactions with children of different ages and abilities

District Goals

Goal #1: All students will 1. read critically, 2. write clearly and 3. communicate effectively through technology-supported instruction, and successfully 4. apply higher order thinking and 5. problem-solving skills across content areas and new situations.

Goal #2: Regional School District No. 6 will improve the community perception of the district and its schools.

School Goals

Goal #1: Students will construct knowledge and communicate a critical stance based on evidence gleaned from text, media and authentic experiences.

Goal #2: Students will increase their awareness and understanding of issues related to local and global diversity (social, cultural, cognitive).
