Expect and value differences among children
Inspire children to love learning
Encourage children to take risks, learn from failure and challenge themselves
Encourage children to be innovators and leaders
Empower all children to become voracious readers, effective writers, and clear communicators
Provide authentic learning opportunities for children to explore and use mathematics
Provide children with choices to follow their interests and passions through inquiry learning across content areas
Provide opportunities for children to think creatively, invent, and explore the world around them
Create mixed-age classes where learning is optimized through social interactions with children of different ages and abilities
